2 cups flour
1/8 cup brown sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/4 cup quick oats
3/4 cup milk

Combine first five ingredients in a bowl. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in oats and milk just until moistened. Turn onto a floured surface. Roll to 3/4 inch thickness; cut with a biscuit cutter. Place one inch apart on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake at 375 degrees, 15-20 minutes.
